One Thousand Places to Die Before You're Seen!

Such a trite concept; the idea that we should each have compiled a list of places to visit before we might die. Mega-high altitude- although not 'outer space' as is currently being termed (some pundits)- being but another of those tourist destinations. 'A thousand places to see before you die!'

We may well be living in a time of Genocide but let's all make sure to do our bit for the mighty age of consumerism! Don't look at that abomination, visit this beauty spot! Life made simple, if one has the funds!

'Democracy' Washes Death across the Middle East?
Another delegation of medical staff- fifteen this time!- mown down and murdered by Israel, the only 'democracy' in the Middle East!' 'Democracy?' Who voted for this? Well, much of the Israeli population although, if you rely on British MSM, you might well be unaware quite how alarmingly reactionary has become Starmer's 'greatest ally in the Middle East.

Initially Israel blustered that the vehicles were approaching suspiciously and without lights! In the heat of war, mistakes occur, of course they do! Except, this is all so old hat now- Israel murdering then lying to the world press. One might readily assume that Israel these days lies more easily than they speak truth. Assisted so admirably by the likes of the BBC, with its hot line to the IDF. Or else the Starmer Government, with fingers armpit deep in consequent body parts?

Evidence, following hot on the heels of truth, informs us that Israel has murdered yet more medical workers, to tally alongside the journalists it routinely targets, the children, entire sleeping families! Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, dontcha know!

The list of journalists killed in the line of their duty is now in the region of 220 and climbing! But, it's not just journalists, is it? It's whole extended families, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles ,aunts! Curiously, during much of this time, the BBC has claimed that footage from inside Gaza has been difficult, at times 'impossible' to obtain. As more and more and more floods out British MSM has reverted, instead, to 'difficult to verify'- that's you, Clive Myrie, you and your flagship BBC Verify. The Corporation, with its host of obedient client journalists, for reasons inexplicable, often tends to regard itself as party to a higher cause. Which cause, might that be? No wonder the Corporation was reluctant to properly report upon the hours and hours and hours of footage and testimony used by the ICJ to prosecute Israel for 'plausible' Genocide! The World Health Organisation has verified over 650 attacks on healthcare facilities inside Gaza, with over 1,300 deaths of Medical Staff! Which, I believe, is more than WW1, WW2, the Korean and the Vietnam Wars combined. But, don't worry about all that, listen instead to Clive Myrie, banging on about his reason for getting up in the morning- we might laugh if we could just stem the tears! A shout out to the Middle East's only democracy!

It transpired that the vehicles were fully lit- like a Christmas tree to the slaughter! What now from the murdering IDF? Seemed likely that there had been some sort of 'honest mistake.' Time to let those who committed the murders investigate? What thought the Foreign Secretary, the Right Honourable David Lammy? Any Idea if British supplied parts were involved, Dave? And, don't forget to wipe your nose!

Then, evidence that the murderers had tried to bury the evidence in a shallow grave. Were any of the medical staff unearthed with hands tied behind their backs? If so, it most certainly wouldn't be the first time, would it? If one dared to speak these truths from within the Labour Party would Sir Keir Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, let us not forget, be more inclined to express outrage at the actions of rogue state Israel, or to remove the whip from the outraged MPs? What are the chances of Mr Lammy perhaps fashioning a spine from the broken bodies of the thousands of murdered children and standing to address the House? What's his record like thus far? Man's very keen on spouting some sort of human rights myth. Still, he did look lovely in that shot with fan of the Genocide, Tzipi Hotovely- wet patch perfectly photo-shopped away.

Spending on defence to be increased to 3% GDP by the next parliament! It's a dangerous world, dontcha know? No lifting of the two child benefit cap! Removal of the winter fuel allowance for a great many pensioners, in a cost of living crisis! Exactly what will be left that's worth defending with this increase in defence spending? Not really 'defence spending, is it Sir Keir? Tell it as it is... Offense Spending to be increased to 3% by the next parliament!

Terrorism through the looking glass!
Hamas aims to challenge its designated 'terrorist' label. Whilst they're doing so what do we think the chances are that their lawyers will be safe from Israeli drone targeting? It's a serious question; whatever the likely answer, still it should be asked. Israel routinely shuns respect for international borders should it's government take a disliking to particular individuals or groups. The US of A- leaders of the free world, dontcha know!- routinely hands out the free passes and the UK routinely ends up having to wipe its nose. So, who's really the greater terrorist threat to stability in the Middle East and beyond?

If Hamas is designated as a terrorist organisation, not just the military wing, the entirety, then, scale of the international crimes being duly considered, why not Israel? Why not the IDF, or the IOF (Israeli Occupation Force) as they are often labelled? Only one side in this 'conflict'- really it's a slaughter- is on trial at the ICJ for plausible Genocide! If justice is to be even-handed then those who supplied the arms might, justly, be regarded as being responsible for an increase in the scale of murder, War Crimes and ultimately Genocide? Just a well considered thought! That would implicate 'free world' USA, Germany and the UK. In the context of an ongoing plausible Genocide, this does raise serious questions on the subject of the terrorist label and who best deserves it, doesn't one think?

Jewish Holocaust Survivor perceived as a threat to good ol' British values!
Stephen Kapos, an 87 year old Holocaust survivor, is to be questioned by MET Police because he dared to lay flowers at Trafalgar Square 18th January 2025, in silent protest at the slaughter of the tens of thousands of Palestinian children by the rogue state of Israel. Large sections of the UK's media would have it that this act somehow may have caused Jewish persons in the region to feel threatened. 'Then they came for those who dared to be appalled at the slaughter of children, but I did not protest because I was not concerned about the slaughter of innocent children,' Martin Niemöller might have added to his famous poetic warning! If, as seems most unlikely, perhaps dishonest, anyone should find the silent laying of flowers in any way threatening then I am going to suggest that they have never spent 18 months starved of food and water, eking out something far short of what is internationally recognised as minimal human rights, watching friends, family, neighbours being atomised on an hourly basis. And, they, most certainly, will not have done so!

Police have cited Public Order Act conditions, moving more widely to seriously curtail the (former) right to protest. The MET working to keep public order on our streets and to bring about a wider sense of security for the 'whole' population? Can't have 87 year old pensioners intimidating communities can we? And, if we need reminding what genuine intimidation looks like we can do no better than to remind ourselves how peacefully the Sarah Everard vigil was MET Policed! Can't have women gathering to mark the murder of one young woman at the hands of one of the MET's own, can we? Write it as it is, journalists, 'anti-terror legislation being used to 'terrorise' critics of UK Government, hence often Genocide!

Protecting British Jews from the harm of living under the shadow of Genocide?
In particular, by attempting to pretend that the State of Israel is not currently in the act of Ethnically Cleansing Gaza, the West Bank, the Golan Heights- all illegally occupied territories- daily raining down Western-supplied weapons of death, thus the constituent parts of an ongoing Genocide.

The British Board of Deputies' record on this Genocide is a truly shameful one! Even by British MSM standards (pitifully low!) the BOD, self-appointed voice of the entire British Jewish population- although not really, as Stephen Kapos would testify- has pretty much applauded Israeli War Crimes from the sidelines throughout. The UK's worst offending 'media' outlet, the Jewish Chronicle would know; their record in legal payouts is unparalleled- perhaps more a damnation of OFCOM than the JC or the BOD, both the latter already widely recognised to be flushed beyond the gutter! So, in the light of the shameful record of both BoD and JC, it should be known that the Palestinian bloodshed is now such that, first, JC and now Bod have ceased being able to stifle the weeping ghost of guilty conscience within the ranks.

First the Jewish Chronicle rag immersed itself so deeply into the spilt blood of Palestinian children that even the likes of Jonathan Freedland felt unable to stomach any more, eternal victim David Baddiel wept that he could no longer allow his 'good' name to be tainted by association. Then, even some amongst the sorry ranks of the hermetic BoD felt driven to go so far as to pen a short letter to the Financial Times, stating that their blind eye can no longer be turned upon Gaza. Tight in support of continued infanticide the BoD immediately sought to suspend its vice chairperson, Harriett Goldberg, along with 35 further members. One would have to wonder quite what further War Crime might have pushed the 36 to lift that heavy pen! Or, for that matter, BBC's Jonathan Freedland or 'I Don't Count's' David Baddiel. Heavens, if such 'highly principled' peoples as these can have spotted one severed child limb too many then surely it must be time for Human Rights experts like Sir Keir Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service and the Right Honourable David Lammy, future Lord Lammy, to act...
... but no! Apparently not quite yet! Too few deaths or something? What hope for humanity?

Not content with instantly relaying Israel's and US President Biden's falsehood that 40 babies were beheaded and that rape was widely perpetrated on 7th October 2023- wonder what Mr Myrie's 'Pursuit of Truth' has to say on the matter- the UK's Government wishes to continue to fund the nation's share in the Genocide. Apparently even journalist par excellence, Fiona Bruce, has nailed her name to the mast! I think a few inches of the timbers may still be visible above the waves, Fiona. Or not? When Sports Presenter Gary Lineker is able to make such short work of BBC Political Journalist Amol Rajan one really must start to ask a few questions, beyond those being framed by Bruce/Myrie/Rajan/Freedland/Tim Davie/Robbie Gibb et al! If we did but know it the Corporation is bustling with staff who are far from happy with its efforts. When the US ans UK supplied missiles fall silent and the US and UK enabled bulldozers move in to attempt to bury and curtail the body-part counting, who amongst us really wants to have our name associated with Genocide, or as cover for the act, no matter in what minor part? So, Bruce/Myrie/Rajan/Freedland/Tim Davie/Robbie Gibb et al, what sort of legacy are you seeking to furnish?

Why not Cheer on the Ethnic Cleansing whilst holidaying at Disney? Former possible fan of the Nazis, now via his ghost, continues to pledge its full support for the ongoing Genocide, from across the Waves, both Atlantic and Mediterranean. But, do beware! Should one choose to take the family, do be careful to read the Ts-and-Cs if you subscribe to the TV Channel. Should you or any member of your group happen to sustain any sort of life changing or life ending mishap whilst holidaying at the resort you'll likely have signed away any legal means to compensation care of an 'infinite arbitration clause.' Other mega-corporations, like also Israeli super fan, Airbnb, DirectTV and Walmart are following Disney's 'happy' lead. Can't have Israeli arms monies being frittered away upon the misfortunes of others can we? No matter whoever might be culpable!

On the issue of whether Walt Disney was really a fully fledged fan of the Nazis imagine the might of the Disney Empire, imagine its huge wealth and political clout! Imagine also quite how much work may have gone into denying the claim that Disney and certain Nazis were ever on very chummy terms! Yet still there is much, and on a far smaller budget, to suggest that things may well have been otherwise. Either way, today's resultant empire seems to have found one heck of a best fit modern day ogre to keep on cheering from the sidelines! As with 21st Century Germany, it is possible to have been very much on the wrong side of both Genocides. History's more thorough academics are likely to record it as such!

As Israel now quite openly weaponises starvation and disease through an absolute blockade of all food, fuel and water (not) entering Gaza, still those such as the Right Honourable David Lammy, future Member of the House of Lords, wrangles events such that the UK may continue to fund arms to Israel, to supply military reconnaissance via Akrotiri in Cyprus. We all watched Sir Keir Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, give a nod to Israel's initial push to starve Palestinian children, women and non-combatant men, first time round. Has anyone seen him condemning Israeli attempts at weaponising starvation and disease this time? Thought not!

Nothing in the manner of aid has entered Gaza since early March, the number of documented deaths through starvation of infants continues to climb! Should Palestinian fishermen attempt to fish the waters- their own seashores- Israeli gunships will target and obliterate them. Already the desalination plants have been shelled inoperable- perhaps another Israeli investigation will fall by the wayside? Anyone keeping score? Ben Gavir, Israeli Security Minister, wants to bomb the remaining stores still distributing food within the Gaza Strip, vociferously supported in this aim by several US Republicans. Those who have been paying attention will likely have deduced that it is unlikely that the UK will do much to intervene on the part of humanity.

There are undoubtedly a thousand ways to die before you're properly seen by the bigger corporations or the more reactionary governments of present day neoliberalism!

Paint a picture,
bear with me here! Science Fiction stabs at this sort of thing all the while. Charlie Brooker's 'Black Mirror' does it better than most. We watch the short film or offering, a situation somewhat outside of the current reach of whatever institution, corporation, nation, concept, whatever. But, invariably, the best efforts are those that closest reference something of today's globe and value system, although not actually named, which might invoke heavy litigation. We watch and we instinctively know which corporations, which national systems and processes, perhaps even which specific individuals are being 'paralleled.' Most Sci Fi might best be described as something of 'a jolly good romp!' Perhaps it'll be scary, involve some sort of alien being or alien concept; it may fall well short as an allegorical effort.

Even so a significant minority of Science Fictionesque offerings go somewhat beyond in their ability to speculate upon possible or credible futures. One of my long-time favourites is 'Silent Running' (1972). The globe has not yet seen its former forests bottled up and sent out into space, lest they might come in useful at some later stage, but we have sat back and permitted lobbied MPs and Lords to wave through the increased monetisation of forests and the lands thus encompassed. Sir Keir Starmer's, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, not Labour Government has just done this again. Slight of hand should we not have noticed, tweaks in the heavy favour of developers over nature this time round. Britain! The most nature depleted nation in Western (maybe the entirety of) Europe! And counting! Vote Labour, why not? What was it we hoped for?

Still painting- imagine it's oils if you like, takes longer to dry. If we've been paying attention we'll have observed Israel being handed pretty much a free pass at bombing and invading, in addition to the Occupied Palestinian Territories, also Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iran, ably assisted by good ol' Uncle Sam! When the BBC routinely joined in with the condemnation of Corbyn's visit to Hammam Chott in Tunisia, it should more accurately have been reported that he was there to commemorate the international crime of Israel's killing of 68 people, injuring over 100, in 1985. It wasn't reported as such, in major part, because the BBC had relinquished the integrity of its political journalism, Clive. Israel invaded Tunisian airspace and bombed Hammam Chott, murdering those 68 people. Then the pilots flew home in time for tea and no consequences! No champers, though, as Arafat wasn't there! Still, it's another 68 chalked up to the murderous regime of the Israeli Colony. Easy enough to check! Only Democracy in the Middle East, dontcha know!

So, this picture, if we may! Imagine, your beautiful niece is enjoying a day out! Where shall we imagine her? Maybe Southend-on-Sea, it suits the picture and the narrative. Candyfloss! Chips along the seafront! At some point she opts for the pier, her and her happy party of, shall we say, eight. It's a twenty-first birthday outing, the weather's perfect! Beautiful!

In this picture, however, she fails to make it home! Along with her eight close friends and, let's imagine, sixteen other visitors to the pier. Perfect weather, end of the pier, consider the numbers! Twenty-five fatalities; how many should we 'paint' as injuries? It's only fiction! Turns out, false 'intelligence,' that the Imaelian Occupation Force believed that a particular doctor who once saved the life of a child of a non-compliant administrator might also have been present on the pier. Intelligence from Artoki, let's imagine. Targeted missile strike! Picture's turned a bit Hieronymus Bosch!

Naturally, in order for this 'painted picture' to work, we might have to run Imael, Artoki and the IOF through the legal department. 'Any similarity is purely coincidental,' kinda thing! But viewers would know! It's only a fictitious 'picture!' So what, in this fictitious imagery should we have the Right Honourable Kid Starver PM, former Human Rights Lawyer, do and say? What about his Foreign Secretary, Lord Lamb-Slaughter(er), also former, Human Rights Lawyer? It sure as hell wouldn't ring true if the UK immediately ceased trading with the Apartheid State of Imael.

Bit of imagination and what have you got? Aside from a great deal of lobbying from certain quarters. Project forward, say another half-dozen years- will the fictitious painting appear in any way a tad more prophetic? Imagine!

So, as we casually wander along the aisle labelled, 'British Democracy' reflect upon what's been happening in the manner of 'change' under the government of Sir Keir Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, son of a Toolmaker (apparently), what do we observe?

Democracy! We can always vote in another lot. Replace this lot! As we did with Thangam Debbonaire and Jonathan Ashworth. Doubt PM Starmer would interfere! Doubt we'll see either soon in the House of Lords. What thinks Baroness Debbonaire, upstanding in the interests of democracy? The United Kingdom, the only democracy within the shores of the United Kingdom, dontcha know!

Hidden behind Fact.

Working at the avant garde of national and international 'journalism,' the BBC (15th February) headlined with the shocking news that anti-Semitic incidents in the UK have risen by 589% since the Hamas attack of 7th October 2023. 'Brave journalists' (Harriet Sherwood) at the Guardian went with the same day headline, 'Huge rise in antisemitic abuse in UK since Hamas attack, says charity.' The referenced charity is the Community Security Trust (CST), tasked with monitoring anti-Jewish abuse and attacks and providing security for UK Jewish communities. CST went on to cite the 7th October attack as a "trigger event."

The Guardian reporter dipped a toe, twice referencing 'something' vaguely labelled as 'subsequent war.' We must presume that this aside (subsequent war) is one and the same series of War Crimes, the enabled slaughter of tens of thousands of innocents, the ECJ recently described as "plausible Genocide!' I listened to the BBC Radio 4 'news' report, several times on the day, which repeatedly neglected to draw upon any other possible triggering event, subsequent or prior to 7th October. Listeners were led to conclude that 7th October was, not merely the 'trigger event' but, more specifically, a wholly isolated 'trigger event.' No reference, by either party, was made to the recent ICJ hearing at the Hague.

With headlines contrived to shock the nation one might deduce the sole incident specifically described in the Guardian report to be at the more extreme end of all those 'anti-Semitic incidents.' "A vehicle with a Palestinian flag attached, and with the occupant shaking their fist in the air through an open window, had driven past a synagogue in Hertfordshire." Opting to cite no examples the BBC was content to go with the road-tested, non-specific wording, 'anti-Semitic' incidents. Obediently EHRC compliant.

The day after (16th February) the headline news became the death of Alexei Navalny. Most reports on 16th were pointing the finger at Putin, to which we were likely being invited to sagely nod our agreement. Much has passed, in recent years, to suggest that Navalny's death is unlikely to have occurred 'unprovoked.' He did, after all, presented as a well and fit middle-aged male fewer that 24 hours previously. Deaths inside Russia, or inside of Russian political reach, happen far too often in Putin's favour to always be mere happenstance. Even in the absence of ultimate proof, Putin's regime seems most likely to warrant the blame.

Incontrovertible proof may forever remain elusive yet, most persuasively, one more crime might now be tacked upon Putin's lengthening list of pending War Crimes. Maybe, just maybe, Navalny did die of a heart attack but there are many, many causal interventions that may hasten such an attack, such as Novichok poisoning or sustained beatings- also denied by the Russian leader. (Western) political figures are eager to search out the spotlight and to roundly condemn Putin, to impose sanctions, to pin terms such as 'Genocide.' Maybe we should reserve a place second in line at the ICC, the Hague?

The (Western) message is clear, Putin is neither a leader to be trusted, nor is he likely to be beneficial to Global betterment! What's to be disputed? Well, nothing really...

Two news headline items. If we wanted to labour the point pending, we might next shine a light upon Kemi Bandenoch's condemnation of Henry Staunton. It's not so much that the stories aren't newsworthy, more it's what they're not doing and what they're not saying!

Concerning the 'shocking' news that anti-Semitic incidents in the UK have increased 589%, the story was more shocking by virtue of what the report elected not to cover than what it elected to dwell upon. In May 2022 I walked to Cinema City in Norwich to view Michael Winterbottom and Mohammed Sawaf's gut-wrenching 'Eleven Days in May.' I mention this because the days inside Gaza that the film documents precede 7th October 2023 by almost thirty months. Neither the BBC, which did not even acknowledge the film's existence, nor the Guardian, which did, just, elected to refer to the documented deaths of all the Palestinian children murdered by Israeli targeted missile strikes during those eleven days as a 'trigger event.' Nor has either 'news' team opted to dwell upon the recent ICJ ruling that 'plausible Genocide' is ongoing inside Gaza and the West Bank.

It will be interesting, more horrifying, to see, in the years to come, how the ICJ adjudges the roles of the UK and it's political master, the US of A, in their support for Israeli conducted Genocide. Anyone who has braved the harrowing footage of Israel's attacks, and consequent celebrations inside Gaza's borders (South Africa's collected evidence), will be under no illusions. An Israeli orchestrated Genocide is happening! Take the trouble to find out what has transpired inside of Occupied Palestine and one is given to conclude that 'triggering events'- ongoing since 1948 (or 1967)- occur so frequently as to trace an unbroken history of the lands. In such light "A vehicle with a Palestinian flag attached, and with the occupant shaking their fist in the air through an open window, had driven past a synagogue in Hertfordshire," might be argued to be an understandable reaction, perhaps even an underreaction? At worst, maybe, misdirected. If a similar incident, substituting the Ukrainian flag, was to occur outside of a Russian orthodox church much of the UK's media would report the incident as a natural reaction; these same outlets are eager to bypass international ruling and to name Russia's actions inside Ukraine as War Crimes, maybe even Genocide. This is way beyond inconsistent?

But, that's not even the point here being made. UK's MSM seems eager to jump the gun regarding Putin's Russia. The BBC is asking the question, 'Is Russia committing Genocide?' whilst continuing to pretend that there is not another and far greater crime being orchestrated elsewhere- orchestrated with the aid of £millions in UK weaponry! Where is the consistency?

Upon the second news item, the death- almost certainly the murder- of Alexei Navalny, headlines were proving similarly slippery. Alexei Navalny, with known white supremacist associates, did not wish, nor did he deserve, to die. Russia deserves better and Navalny could have done no worse. MSM rightly mourned his death yet they also sought to work with it. Death is not yet redeemable but reputation, rightly or less so, may yet flourish!

Navalny's Family and the Russian nation may still benefit. But, chief amongst those yet hoping to steer the narrative would be the good ol' US of A and its subject nations. Putin remains both monster and distraction. Globally however, he is not such a stand-alone threat as may be painted. The US of A currently operates something in excess of 1,000 overseas military (capacity) bases. Russia operates maybe a dozen. Overseas military campaigns are similarly skewed in the US's favour- pick a continent and they are there, imposing, dictating! One might go so far as to list the UK as one of the State's more covert projects, certainly its bases imposed or otherwise. One might!

It was not that long past that Alexei Navalny was speculated as yet another potentially, dangerous Russian figure! His outspoken views upon racial supremacy are readily accessible. Yet, similarly 'convenient,' 'skewed' or 'weaponised,' although upon no such immense a scale, Navalny's death has served to yet again further particular narrative. Now, it suits to regard Alexei, even in his absence, as a rallying-focus, a national folk hero. Undeniably the man was brave beyond reason but a folk hero? Again, I was able to listen and re-listen to the BBC news reports of Navalny's death and to read the Guardian's 'canonising' words. Neither source opted to reference the huge elephant in the corner; maybe it was being obscured by the former elephant?

Navalny has been increasingly lionised by UK MSM, his less savoury racial opinions fading from discussion in inverse proportion. Russia's invasion both served his reputation, whilst (as seems highly likely) also hastening his demise. Navalny was serving his questionable imprisonment somewhere in the freezing regions of Siberia- as did Solzhenitsyn in his time- his health worsening. He spoke of fevers, back pains, numbness of legs and severe sleep deprivation. Biden is eager to force greater and greater sanctions upon Russia; "We're looking at whole number of options." Predictably quick to judge. Oh, how Palestinians might benefit from such swift interventions on the part of the US of A! Oh, how Julian Assange's health and future wellbeing might benefit from more honest debate!

What the nation wasn't being reminded of was that Navalny, prior to his death, was but one amongst many political prisoners, some of whom Navalny himself might once have labelled 'cockroaches.' Ally of the UK, Israel, continues to ram its prisons with whomsoever it chooses, ever in contravention of international law. Closer, at home in the UK, Assange is one political prisoner with whom, until very recently, we were most definitely not being encouraged to concern ourselves. Ongoing legislation endeavours to labour the fact. Past master, the BBC, comfortably managed to negate any cross-referencing between Navalny and Julian Assange. Under Katherine Viner's editorship the Guardian had refrained from mentioning Assange for many years, although both 'news' sources, now and far far too late, appear more eager to document the UK's tame surrender to it's overseas landlord. Curious, considering that it was the Guardian that initially helped to platform, thus sought to benefit from, Assange's cutting-edge journalism. In the unlikely event that you missed the memo, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's father was a toolmaker. Likely far too momentous to have also featured upon this first, weighty memo, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer was once the Head of the Crown Prosecution Service. Two memos!

It has been demonstrated that the UK's Main Stream Media is, at best, inconsistent. The BBC's recent debacle with Gary Lineker would be a case in point. Further, if one steps back and surveys the range of other 'main stream' outlets, then one may also be given to surmise that the scope of political allegiances at the top of the various establishments is not very wide-ranging. One is still at liberty to access information regarding either ownership and/or editorial make-up of the 'different' organisations. Having done so, in the light of resultant, irrefutable evidence and by association, it would appear that the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer has demonstrated himself to be generally compliant to the 'slant' being aired. Yet, even so, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer has, thus far, shown little to impress. 'Underwhelming' is a term that springs to mind. And, 'underwhelming' with favourable winds, soft lighting and a considerable deal of editorial leeway. To those who 'support' him, stand in line behind him, relay his whipped messaging, and supportively don the rose-tints the evidence must, by now, have begun to gall. In stark behavioural contrast, adopting his Stalinist role as head of the Labour Party, we find that thin ice and threat also has yet to yield the desired 'popularity,' even the sort of superficial popularity that may be routinely and religiously caked on prior to each and every public outing. 'Collar up or collar down?' has, thus far, reaped minimal returns. Within the shelled Party base he currently commands a 37% positivity rating. Amongst the wider public the positives are further thinned out, leaving him with a 20% positivity rating. As many as one in five, that high??

Right Honourable Member, Nadhim Zahawi's YouGov predictably ushers incurious minds clear of mounting evidence to the contrary, instead the linked page tentatively hints at the Labour Party's former (weaponised) issue with antisemites. The rosettes may clap obediently and loudly bang their wooden spoons against pots yet, even so, approaching half (41%) of the Party faithful remains unconvinced.

One could be forgiven for never having heard tell of Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's commissioned Forde Report. Of note here, the report was actually commissioned by the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer. Even if one had stumbled upon mention of the Forde Report one would have had to venture beyond the boundaries of MSM to have unearthed any of the report's findings. QC Martin Forde's words and conclusions have, thus far, fallen upon stony ground. In light of the veritable circus that was made of 'The Labour Party's pseudo-saturation of antisemitism' this fact should be of considerable concern to anyone with honourable expectations from the nation's news coverage. Again, 'inconsistent.' Or, consistent in an altogether more worrisome manner?

The fact that Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer was named, by Labour Party supporting parents, after Keir Hardie, may or may not have crept into the public collective consciousness. A former member of Labour Young Socialists in East Surrey, one could ponder whether current leader, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, might yet have excluded younger self, plain Keir Rodney Starmer. The inconvenient historical snippet likely flutters back and forth, depending upon who might be the current targeted audience. The Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer has formerly written for magazines, 'Socialist Alternatives' and 'Socialist Lawyer.' As recently as during the Labour leadership contest he stood 'alongside' picketing University College Union staff, pledging 'heartfelt support' (at least whilst the TV cameras were there, collar down on that occasion). In 2021 Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer was condemned by and dismissed from the Haldane Society of Lawyers for a raft of justifiable reasons:
* Starmer’s ‘appalling policy positions’
* his manoeuvres to force Labour MPs to support a bill to allow ‘intelligence sources’ – including civilians – to commit crimes
* his disregard for migrants’ rights
* his assault on free speech
* his behaviour over schools during the pandemic
* his lack of support for unions
* his inaction on anti-Black and anti-Muslim racism
* his inaction over abuse of transgender people
For reasons upon which we could speculate the BBC appears to have steered clear.

Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, currently presides as Leader of the Opposition, which, in statistical terms, shows him as
a) elected but not at the fore of governmental power
b) currently at the head of the second largest group of elected MPs
Both of which are factually accurate, at present, and may be stated as simple matter of fact. Also factually accurate is the title, 'Leader of the Labour Party,' although the latter 'appellation' frequently presents as more problematic, because 'Leader of the Labour Party' carries with it an element above simple numerical weight, an air of authority, the suggestion that the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer might be the current embodiment, the essence, of the 'Labour Movement,' at least that part that currently resides within the House of Commons.' Yet, if we conjure up any image- imagined or otherwise- of the wider Labour Movement it is surely impossible not to conjure up also supporters, perhaps crowds, the embodiment of hope amongst the 'ordinary' working class. And, herein lies a hurdle.

The former, much-distanced, leader of the Labour Party enthused the requisite crowds and sparked hope from the wider labour movement, whereas Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer struggles in this domain. 'Collar up collar down?' Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, instead, still requires significant 'wardrobe' assistance in the field. At conference, where expulsions, exclusions, camera angles, security and, of course, the BBC's well documented art of judicial editing are ready PR tools, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's tentative outings into the wider public remain strained. Cardboard cut-out, perhaps. Archived footage and images of larger gatherings- other crowds, other speakers- may require Photoshopping, cropping, close-ups to exclude the yawning empty spaces just out of shot. There is always the chance that the sharp-eyed observer will spot the omission, the crop, the misrepresentation, * the (big) lie!

Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair KG was once, allegedly, a Trotskyist, brought about after reading the first volume of Isaac Deutscher's biography of Leon Trotsky. Whilst cramponing his trajectory to Leader of the Labour Party he, allegedly, made it clear to then Labour leader Michael Foot that he had "come to Socialism through Marxism" and considered himself on the left. Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair KG, allegedly, believed that the "Labour right" was bankrupt. "Socialism ultimately must appeal to the better minds of the people," Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair KG, allegedly, proclaimed. Friend and colleague, David Blunkett, Baron Blunkett, was once described by various individuals as a highly vociferous member of the "Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire," allegedly showing support for the 1984-85 (NUM) striking miners and declaring Sheffield City Council a "nuclear-free zone." David Blunkett, Baron Blunkett, allegedly and in the 1980s, was a prominent member of the labelled "loony left," steadfastly refusing to cooperate with the then government program of rate-capping (solely) certain Labour-run councils.

The above alleged facts are all readily available, easily accessible. Imagine the rich seam pertaining to the wider membership that might yet await the more determined miner. Weaponising the information, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer might then seek to have members expelled or temporarily excluded, timed to coincide with any due and ongoing selection processes, omitted from (say) council, mayoral, NEC or other internal Labour Party selection processes, de-selected from prospective parliamentary elections, or he might not. The processes would either draw the full attention of the MSM, painting the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer as the 'worst sort of Stalinist,' or it would not, in which case the theatre might proceed, the audience either blissfully or wilfully 'unaware' regarding the immense (and thoroughly dishonourable) backstage efforts afoot. Imagine!

Deploying the shadowy figure of one David Evans, current General Secretary of the Labour Party, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer has opted for the former. For reasons best known to those who own the newspapers, who rig the TV and radio stations, the UK's MSM has opted to ride the slipstream, to remain shtum. Moral bankruptcy aside, the British Empire was not founded upon ignorance- not their's anyway- nor was it founded upon democracy. Students of British history will, no doubt, recognise the pattern as very much a continuum. Even so, Operation Legacy is going to require some serious modification if it is to progress in quite such an efficient and ruthless manner.

Dutiful members of the Labour Party may, indeed should, have felt obligated to familiarise themselves with the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's recentish adoption of the IHRA definition of antisemitism. The document is short and to the point, as should be any, essentially, anti-racist definition. Due and resultant obligation of members should have been twofold:
1) to ensure that no transgressions ensue,
and, not immediately evident,
2) to ensure that the authority choosing to adopt said definition cannot seek to exploit any specific wording or phraseology to the detriment of the diligent member.
Within the main body of the Labour Party, part one should have been simple, straight forward, a given. Amongst the vast majority of Labour members- ideally the whole- it should not be unreasonable to expect, and to embrace, full and whole-hearted agreement. But then, merely to have had to also consider the second part might suggest potential transgressions, perhaps unforeseen concerns.

With hindsight, observing the events which seamlessly followed, hot on the heels of the adoption, would surely lead any seriously impartial journalist to conclude that transgressions, which did not so much 'trickle down' as 'cascade;' were not so much 'unforeseen' as 'calculated for. ' Did not Angela Raynor, in her fit of peak, hint at the major artillery that had always lain in wait? 'Unforeseen concerns' tended to revolve around the words:
"the following examples may serve as illustrations."
more specifically, the vast accumulation of 'evidence' that swiftly built up in relation and/or pertaining to example number 7:
"Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavour."
Also, the subtle nuances being brushed upon around mention of 'the actions' or 'the state' of "Israel." Nuances are only really 'nuances' so long as they remain nuanced when viewed from both sides... it turns out the Westminster lobby pass journalist is not 'passed' to cover certain nuances, maybe also 'no longer adequately equipped' to do so?

By the end of 2021 the BBC 'calculated' the loss of former members to have been in the region of 90,000. As of August 2022, the Independent reckoned the figure to have risen to just shy of 100,000. Middle East Eye broke from the pack in seeking to delve more into who, multiples thereof, it was that was actually being expelled. The nation wanted to know, 'how could the Labour Party have harboured so very many antisemites?' The MSM (lobby pass) attack-dogs orchestrated a pile on!

Meanwhile, many of the smaller and independent sites, with their more honourable, democratic goals and absence of lobby passes, busily set about unearthing and reporting upon precisely which types of offence were being committed, instances proving very much more difficult to trace than was otherwise being 'reported.' Instances were proving elusive, vague, mostly absent. More noise was being called for. Cavalry at the BBC and the Guardian sounded the reveille!

Comprising ostensibly loyal Jewish members of the Labour Party, Jewish Voice for Labour set about delving a little deeper. Minimal effort soon reaped rewards. JVL discovered that the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, was, in fact, questionably using the shield of 'antisemitism' with which to attack, calculatedly suspend, and/or expel, disproportionately, Jewish members. An extensive Labour Report on the issue of antisemitism within the Party unearthed the unreported detail of '0.24% of the membership having been investigated.' Whilst a fraction of these may indeed have transgressed, the figure recorded merely 'investigations.' So, somewhere fewer than 0.24% of members. A wider survey by the Institute for Jewish Policy Research reported 5% amongst the general public being guilty of harbouring some antisemitic thoughts, so over twenty times greater. Figures that did not support the purge were, quite naturally suppressed. Lobby pass MSM completely circumnavigated the issue, hence the leak.

Historically, the major party of antisemitsim has consistently been the Conservative one but, as Coulson's image might contest, "we don't do history!" Well, "only selectively.". The Campaign Against Antisemitism has fairly consistently found the Conservative Party to harbour the greater number of antisemitic attitudes.

Those denied Westminster lobby passes discovered that Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's Party was in fact 'purging' five times as many Jewish (former) members as non-Jewish ones. When Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer elected to further widen the 'antisemitism net and to proscribe four groups 'currently then' residing within the Labour Party- 'Socialist Appeal,' Labour in Exile,' Labour Against the Witchhunt' and 'Resist'- the mirror finally cracked, any lingering doubt was surely and finally dispelled. The lobby group did not concur; the mirror was duly replaced, with a different yet indistinguishable mirror.

When Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, via sidekick David Evans, elected to retrospectively proscribe those same four Labour Party groups- thus expelling yet further members for, essentially, an absence of clairvoyancy- expectations of the lobby group reaction were suitably low. The Westminster lobby group did not disappoint. Or rather, they continued to do so!

The Labour Party, even Angela Raynor, are somewhat cagey upon the subject but it has been estimated that as many as 200,000 former members have now left the Party, one in three, the vast, vast majority of them without having been expelled. Concerned about potential bankruptcy, Ann Black of Labour's National Executive was anxious to discover more. The top five reasons, she discovered, were:
👉 Bullying of members and attacks on party democracy
👉 The party’s treatment of Corbyn and the Left
👉 Starmer’s support for apartheid Israel and the right-wing Jewish group, the Board of Deputies
👉 ‘Labour no longer represents us’
👉 Starmer is a liar / can’t be trusted
Entirely predictably, incidents of antisemitism in the UK are on the rise, recorded to be up 34% between 2020 and 2021. Israel's ongoing pogrom against Palestinians and the state's war crimes and persecution of Palestinian people in the illegally occupied colonies has, no doubt, contributed to the 34% rise. When Labour MP Kim Johnson spoke truth to the Commons Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer immediately disciplined the member and, within hours, she was carefully retracting the facts. But, as Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer understands in his capacity as former Director of Public Prosecution, facts cannot be made to work like that. In the latest annual 'trust in the media' survey of 24 countries the UK ranked second to bottom, its lowest standing since the survey's origins.

Historically, of course, he has even been caught taking the knee- collar most definitely down!- during "a moment." Or, was it a misplaced 'moment of royal deference' stock photo? We all have them, Sir Keir, those, what, 'embarrassing moments?' But, just to be clear, 'antisemitism!' Not, 'anti-racism?'

Neither has the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, been quite so very comfortable, collar up or down, wearing his 'anti-sex-pest' suit. Recent investigations have suggested that there may be as many as 56 'serving' MPs facing allegations of sexual misconduct, 56 known about MPs. More targeted investigations have uncovered that at least two currently reside within the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, front bench. MP Neil Coyle, likely, more keenly appreciates Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's dilemma. Thank heavens that the union jack is inanimate. Lighting, collar down, Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, "is not Jeremy Corbyn!"

Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer was appointed Queen's Council, at the age of 39, in 2002. In 2008 the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer was made Director of Public Prosecutions. During PMQs, in 2022, alleged, already notorious fabricator, Right Honourable Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson PM, in an effort to distract from any number of personal, national or international misadventures, accused Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer of 'stopping Jimmy Savile from being charged.' The confected smokescreen duly arose and, as is the nature of smoke, billowed and rolled, intertwined, morphed and remorphed, such that it was very soon made impossible to fully distinguish genuine and resultant outrage from the original smoke! All the same, the questionable fact refuses to go back into its box. Citizens of certain age will recall the voice of Jimmy Savile upon the BBC (Yakety Yak!), increasingly, his features upon the BBC (Top of the Pops), increasingly his lecherous behaviour, his self-aggrandisement (Jim'll Fix It), increasingly his inadequate shorts, his skimpy string vest. It would be fair to comment that Jimmy Savile started creeping-out certain viewers and listeners several decades prior to his long-overdue and posthumous unmasking!

Thank heavens that the law courts do not operate upon the say-so of creeped-out school children. None-the-less, when Alison Levitt QC drew her conclusions from the consequent investigation into whether the CPS had been right not to charge Jimmy Savile she expressed reservations. She went on to say that, “On the face of it, the allegations made were both serious and credible; the prosecutor should have recognised this and sought to “build a prosecution.” Three of the victims told her that if they had received more information from the police at the time of the investigation- and particularly if each had been told she was not the only woman who had complained- they would “probably have been prepared to give evidence.” QC Alison Levitt said that, in the case of two of the allegations, there would have been a “realistic prospect of conviction” if the women had given evidence. When 'Full Fact' reached out to both the Labour Party and the CPS, in order to delve that little bit deeper, a spokesperson stated that, “in line with the established data retention policy”, none of the records for the decision not to charge Savile in 2009 were kept. Starmer duly apologised and spoke of a "watershed moment," and, with much public support from many highly reputable sources and individuals, he was not judged, nor was he sanctioned retrospectively.

Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer was Director of Public Prosecutions when the Crown Prosecution Service (again) decided not to pursue the police killing of Jean Charles da Sila de Menezes on 22nd July 2005. On 4th May 2006 the Crown Prosecution Service announced that no charges would be filed. The misnomer 'Independent' Police Complaints Commission had allegedly initiated two, no two, investigations. Good enough for the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer. In 2010 Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, Director of Public Prosecutions, announced the decision not to prosecute the police officer Simon Harwood in relation to the unlawful killing of Ian Tomlinson, a decision which led to accusations by Tomlinson's family of a police cover-up. The Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, then Director of Public Prosecutions, reacted to Assange's avante guarde journalism by ensuring that inhumanely imprisoned Assange be fast-tracked through to extradition and likely further torture in the US. When the Swedish team showed hesitancy he replied, "Don't you dare get cold feet." Hats off to Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, former Director of Public Prosecutions! Ken Loach, also expelled from the Labour Party, has sought to shed light upon Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's role in the political imprisonment of Julian Assange. There are many conspiracy theories floating about, most of them patently absurd, but even the worst of them does seem to serve its purpose. At the time the Guardian Newspaper prided itself as being at the fore in breaking this human rights story...

Far less over-remunerated- over-remunerated, none-the-less- successor Alison Saunders managed the same feat at around a 70% reduction in costs to the general public.

Isn't it often said that money attracts money? To put a bit of modern day spin upon the term, one might opine that 'money of a specific sort attracts further money of similar sorts.' So, operating within such a value system, it must come as little surprise to learn that Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, former Head of the Crown Prosecution Service, is able to (almost) bankrupt the Party he professes to lead, whilst raking in quite so very much on a more personal level. Already he writes for Murdoch's Sun newspaper, effectively lowering any remaining bar yet further. The UK's sagging democracy, however, deserves a great deal better! Not content with dragging the Labour Party (unreported) through the thickest and oiliest mud, a falsely emboldened Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer has now set about trashing that tiny remnant of decency that remains hanging. Whatever else 'the Sunaks' may legitimately be targeted for, 'favouring the mass liberty of child molesters' should not be numbered amongst them. More to the point, the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer does often like to remind, he was, not so very long ago, Director of Public Prosecutions. Check the dates!

When Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer stood in the Labour Leadership Election, in 2020, the Former Director of Public Prosecutions enthused- although, even then, not really 'enthused'- the considerable membership with promises of unity, solidarity and ten (heartfelt) continuity pledges, some dared (fingers crossed) to hope a somewhat deflated hope. Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, Former Director of Public Prosecutions, spoke of a devolved membership where local members would be free to put forward their own candidates for election. Gaze shifting around the room, Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer was (TV debate) filmed raising his hand at the requisite moments. In 2022 Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer confirmed that he was no longer making the ten socialism-based pledges with which he had swayed the Party.

Boldly circumventing due reflection, Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, armed with former Director of Public Prosecutions mask, ushered John Ware's controversial Panorama 'documentary,' 'Is Labour Antisemitic,' over some meaty bumps in the road. Instead of seeking to explore the veracity of claims to the contrary, Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer elected to pay (Labour funds) substantial damages to seven (former) members who (interviewed) claimed that Labour had defamed them, in stating that they were "disaffected former staff" and that they had "axes to grind." 'And/or' here denotes the fact that the "Are you from Israel?" moment cannot be specifically attributed; in fact transpires that it cannot be attributed at all, transpires that the words- as used by John Ware to illustrate rampant antisemitism- were not spoken at all. Reporting long after the fact, the Guardian (28th Feb. 2023) wrote that the whole affair was, with the permission of Westerman, recorded, that the tape and transcript "are both publicly available and clearly show that it is not true." Helen Marks and Rica Bird are both Jewish, both are former members of the Labour Party, numbering amongst the 200,000. The Guardian Newspaper, doing what the Guardian does best? Think back though, where was the Guardian during that 'MSM (lobby pass) attack-dogs orchestrated pile on!'?

Alongside Martin Forde's buried report upon antisemitism within, formerly Jeremy Corbyn's, now Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's Labour Party, another uniformly ignored report has been the 'Labour Files.' Al Jazeera conducted its own investigation into the roundly denied angle of 'antisemitism having been weaponised by right-wing factions operating within the Labour Party.' Martin Forde referenced the four-part series in his own research. In terms of actually digging down into the various shenanigans that were then afoot within the Party machinery Al Jazeera's journalism rather shames that which was 'half-conducted' by the BBC's Panorama (Is Labour Antisemitic?), which instead stumbled at the first hurdle. 'Labour Files,' third episode of four, 'The Hierarchy,' has recently won the Gold Award for documentaries at the New York Festivals Film and Television Awards. It is fortunate that other, and non-UK, Main Stream Media outlets are not so restricted as are ours. Yet, how we scorn censorship when it is conducted by (certain) other lesser-nations. A brief search for a BBC link to the award returned nothing.

Charting a careful pathway through casualties and wreckage, promises and pledges shattered, one could be forgiven hesitancy but, taking Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, former Director of Public Prosecutions, at his (current) word, the Labour Leader is (at time of posting) adamant that the slowly unfolding carcrash that is Brexit is to be 'respected.' Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer wishes to 'move on' and presumably reactively deal with consequences, injuries, mishaps as and when they occur- mop up the blood as it flows, rather than staunch flow and treat the wound. "Honourable!" a suitable spokesperson might contest. They might well!

In 2019 Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, 'boldly' advocated for a referendum on the Brexit withdrawal agreement, stating that, "campaigning for a public vote must be an option". During quieter moments of reflection, can we be certain whether he charts, ruefully or otherwise, the Party's short journey from mass gatherings of young enthused supporters on to operating under the twin shadows of Mr and Mrs mini-me Wes Streeting and Rachel Reeves? During the 2016 leadership election Right Honourable Wesley Paul William Streeting nominated the Right Honourable Owen Smith- revolving door aficionado- formerly Pfizer, now tucked up all cosy with pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb. Right Honourable Wesley Paul William Streeting, meanwhile- one eye to the same revolving doorway, perhaps- has accepted a £15,000 donation from John Armitage, massive Tory donor and gateway to UnitedHealth, itself lobbying for ever greater access to the NHS. Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer's, former Director of Communications, Ben Nunn, was himself Associate Director of Incisive Health, another driver for NHS privatisation- ergo Pharma Starmer!- now Senior Council at Lexington Communications- "defining influence on the policy and business landscape for over 20 years"- and writing in the Guardian newspaper. Full circle? We may have lost democracy but we've won... remind me, what exactly is it that we've (supposedly) won? And why is it that Rupert Murdoch looks so very satisfied with himself? Can formaldehyde do that?

Terrorism!

Given that (some) governments, are highly selective in their condemnations of 'terrorism'- highly!- I am wondering exactly where the UK currently lies on the threat scale. At of the time of commencing writing (14th October) it is deemed to be 'Substantial- an attack is likely!' I've just checked on the Metropolitan Police site. That's level three on a scale of one to five, five being 'Critical- an attack is highly likely in the near future.'

In Northern Ireland the threat level is currently 'Severe- an attack is highly likely,'- one stage higher- but not yet, 'in the near future.' On the mainland Home Secretary Patel lowered the threat level from 'Severe' to 'Substantial' on the 3rd November 2020. Ultimately the UK's threat level could reach as high as level five, 'Critical- an attack is highly likely in the near future!' The last time that the UK's threat risk was deemed to be 'Critical' was in May 2017, following the Manchester bombing.

Terrorism!

It's defined as 'the use or threat of action- violence and intimidation- especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.' The precise wording varies but the gist remains pretty much the same. The meaning seems quite clear. With or without an absolute grasp of any sort of definition we'd all 'know' if an incidence of terrorism had taken place upon our shores... wouldn't we?

If a terrorist attack was to take place outside of the UK the chances of us being aware that such an act had taken place would be variable, far less certain. One country's act of self-proclaimed 'defence' is often another's offensive and, at the extreme end, its act of 'terrorism!'

The UK, as it currently stands, appears alarmingly relaxed about selling arms to all manner of nations, who will in turn use these to exercise terrorism upon various civilian populations in other parts of the world. 'Labour' Liverpool has just hosted 'AOC Europe 2021 (Electronic Warfare Europe 2021)' the 'Labour' Mayor, happy to have done so- three Labour councillors are currently facing a Labour kangaroo court and suspensions for daring to have questioned the organiser's morality! And our brave British Bobbies have been typically heavy-handedly policing the event against protesters. Where better to search for the source of several future or ongoing terrorist campaigns! Mighty Saudi Arabia upon the Yemini population or, military giant Israel upon the occupied Palestinians! Apparently this is just good business for the UK, where the terrorists may dress up nice and smartly and flash their expensive dental work! The culminating acts are to be undertaken, anyway, overseas and, as such, do not (need to) feature on the UK's threat scale.

Perhaps it is that UK self-anointed shroud of British exceptionalism that enables us to so freely export that which is deemed so terrifying when enacted at home?

So, back in good ol' Blighty, where the lines are more easily drawn, when Chris Packham's home was attacked with an ignited vehicle the act quite rightly made the news headlines. On the day of the attack (8th October 2021) Chris Packham was filmed anxiously speculating about future dangers to his family and/or himself.

Yet, within the week, Britain's ongoing and (now official) woeful response to the global pandemic threat had pushed the Packham attack far enough down the news reels for it to have effectively fallen off the bottom of 'the' list. On 12th October Hunt (Conservative) and Clark (also Conservative) sought to selectively lowlight some of the failings of the current (also Conservative) cabal. Then, on the 13th, William Shatner chose to thoroughly dispel any lingering misconceptions that he might represent some sort of uber-enlightened interstellar problem solver and the Packham attack was old news.

Certainly 'violence' and/or 'intimidation' featured in the Packham attack. Further, Chris Packham would, I am sure, concur with himself being classed a 'civilian.' And finally, in light of the mounting number of animal corpses being dumped at Chris's address, we could reasonably assume the attack to have been 'in pursuit of political aims.' The ritual slaughter of the UK's vanishing wildlife remains, after all, a topic for discussion in the Commons, even the currently highly depleted Commons. Thus, the act can reasonably be argued to be an act of terrorism. Had it been directed against, for example, the home of MP Raab, in protest at the parliamentary act of condemning hundreds of thousands of the UK's children to winter poverty and bouts of severe hunger, surely this minor tweak would do it and yet the 'intimidation' of 'civilian,' Chris Packham, for 'political aims' doesn't quite cut the mustard.

We could spend an age speculating as to whether the fact that so many 'serving' MPs condone and/or indulge in the violent destruction of our wildlife may have tipped the balance against classifying an act of 'petrol-bombing a civilian for political ends' as a terrorist attack. But really the matter's already been decided by our MSM and our politicians, most of them. Of interest here, we could even choose to recall the UK's PM- then a Spectator journo- invoking the hunters to ignore the law, when fox hunting was first outlawed in 2005 but what would be the point? Instead, we may note that those who define what is and what is not 'terrorism' continue to fudge about the edges as best suits those who 'indulge.' 'Indulge?'

Popular argument would have it that Tony Blair is not a terrorist, instead that he is an 'international war criminal.' More so a very rich one! One who deceitfully invoked terror upon others for political ends. Currently, those who hold the reins of power may have blocked any trial but even they cannot yet fully block independent thought.

So, moving on! On and over! In the States there has been considerable weight thrown behind calls to reclassify BLM as a terrorist organisation. But, can it be deemed terrorism when a nation, significant part thereof, dares to question the celebration of former citizens who have grown rich upon the enslavement and exploitation of their fellow human beings? Which should we consider the greater act of terror, the tearing of living beings from their families as mere property, or the toppling of a bronze effigy of a long dead international slaver?

What does, and what will, the UK's Home Secretary choose to do with such information? What future for those attempting to better our social infrastructure (BLM) or our planetary future (Insulate Britain)? Where are those non-corporate journalists to be found when we need them, to properly draw and highlight the distinctions?

Home Secretary Patel is currently preparing the 'Nationality and Borders Bill,' which is expected to sail through the UK's one state system. The most unsavoury detail of which is that part which aims to endow Border Force operatives with legal immunity should their acts of state sponsored attempted-manslaughter achieve fruition. Just to clarify, in the event of desperate refugees being caused to drown as a result of being pushed back out into the waves by the UK's Border Force then charges of manslaughter or murder would not result. Such an eventuality would then act in direct opposition to international law! Already, upon the complicit Jeremy Vine Show, I have listened to the 'argument' that any resultant death would be 'incentivising.' Special thanks to brave Jeremy for platforming that one!

Should the bodies of formerly desperate refugees start to wash up upon British and French shorelines will the threat level rise to properly reflect Britain's status? Will the UK's fearless corporate journos jump ship (so to speak) and adequately report the horror show that is British politics and the pitiful excuse that now purports to represent British MSM? Will Home Secretary Patel perhaps more openly sport the cloak of 'terrorist' and will the threat level properly reflect this?

I offer, as a simple comparison, a site that wholly dispels any myth that 'brave' Britain compares favourably to other nations in its acknowledgement and/or assistance of desperate refugees. Although disingenuous 'journalism' would have us believe otherwise reference to the figures will offer significant enlightenment. Barely a smidgen over 10% of refugees even attempt to seek safety upon the European Continent; many nations outside of Europe offer asylum to a far greater number of those fleeing persecution. Almost 90% of all refugees choose to seek sanctuary outside of Europe. Of those fleeing conflict, who even reach Europe, Sweden, Malta, Cyprus, Austria, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and Bulgaria accept many times more refugees than does the UK. The UK's ever-diminishing (and ever more prohibitive) offering lies 15th in the Continent, behind Greece, Italy, France, Luxemburg, Finland, and most of Western Europe.

On the 15th October Conservative MP David Amess was stabbed to death whilst conducting his surgery at Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. The threat level at the time of posting remains at 'Substantial' (level 3), 'Severe' (level 4) in Northern Ireland. The investigating Metropolitan Police Force has said that his death is being treated as an act of terrorism.

More, it is 'Whispering into the Face of the Gale!' is it not?

After a period of troublesome silence- excruciatingly exacerbated through unhelpful changes made to Blogger- I find that I am again, against the tide, free (almost) to express myself. For that at least I am grateful. And, at a time of such jack-boot-and-nationalistically-enforced silence?

Initially, serving as the source, I noted two half-hidden news stories. Then I dug a little deeper and wondered if it might be possible to join up several corresponding dots. Invariably, I find, there are dots to be joined- all too often easily done, once they have been unearthed! A greater concern is that these dots are not properly connected by our MSM. Maybe that, right there, is another 'dot' to be worked into the bigger picture? Let's see.

So, let us begin with the first dot, here separated into two parts. Please follow the links for further details. Dot One, Part A concerns freelance journalist Andy Aitchison (46), who was hoping to properly cover the ongoing story of Napier Barracks in Folkstone. To summarise as briefly as I feel able, Napier Barracks is currently being used to 'house' (imprison really) several hundred asylum seekers. The site is little spoken about in our MSM, as Ms Patel (Home secretary) attempts to, swiftly and without due process, dismiss their pleas for asylum, whereby they may be 'silently' dumped somewhere beyond our shores, perhaps tipped into the sea if Ms Patel has her way?

On Thursday morning Andy was arrested at his home, then detained in a police cell for a further five hours, before being released on bail. He has been instructed not to attend the barracks in the meantime. Both the National Union of Journalists and the local Conservative MP have expressed their concerns.

Those being detained in the barracks are currently undergoing an outbreak of Coronavirus- over 100 positive cases as of Sunday, 31st January. I am assuming that our government has 'elected' not to publish figures for deaths in asylum 'camps,' much like they have preferred not to report on positive cases and deaths amongst teachers or, earlier in the pandemic, to draw attention to consequent deaths in care homes. On Friday afternoon a fire broke out inside Napier Barracks, source unknown at the time of writing.

Dot one, Part B, concerns another freelance journalist, one Denise Laura Baker, who was covering the more known about HS2 demonstrations at Euston. Denise had been on the site for several days, prior to the police beginning to evict protesters. On Saturday, 30th January, she was challenged, whereupon she was able to demonstrate her legitimacy via her NUJ card. Shortly afterwards she was cuffed, when she did not reveal potential outlets for the story, and taken to Kentish Town Station. Denise has been informed that she is to be issued with a Covid fine. Both Denise Laura Baker and Andy Aitchison, both in their capacity as freelance journalists, believe that their arrest was made in an attempt to prevent them from reporting upon the issue in hand.

Given that a great many individuals are not only encouraged, more instructed, to travel in to work, often upon crowded and non-Covid-safe transport, and then to spend their days in also-non-Covid-safe offices and other work environments, it is a puzzle as to quite why Denise and Andy have been so determinedly targeted, although not really. Both are of the belief- I am inclined to concur- that their detention and harassment has been a form of state censorship. One merely needs to properly open one's eyes to see that such actions are now quite commonplace in the UK. Meanwhile, notice how Ms Patel seeks to blame the UK's high infection-rate instead upon other-and-often lesser culprits, waving her red-flag of fines before the nation's eyes.

Naive individuals, those who were blind to Hillsborough and continue to be blind to Orgreave and the ongoing internal struggle within the Labour Party, may 'tut' and wet a forefinger before hunkering down inside the pages of a favourite tabloid (or similar substitute). For the rest, fear not, Lord John Mann, or perhaps another like Lord Ian Austin, Baroness Kate Hoey or Lord John Woodcock (passionate supporter of arms sales to Saudi Arabia), may champion the cause of 'free speech!' That is unless...

It really is truly astonishing that such a crew as those former Labour MPs, knighted care of PM Johnson, can still be presented in the MSM as having somehow 'realigned' from worker supporting MPs to pro-inequality and anti-democratic sleepers in the space of so few months. Kate Hoey- friend of Farage- virtually spent her final days in the Commons raising two fingers to her voters. And, all so comfortably within easy memory of the New Labour 'cash for honours' scandal. So £300 a day for the rest of one's life is the current going rate, is it? Oh well, that's democracy, as some of our media pundits say. If they continue to say it loud enough and often enough who can imagine where they'll end up- cite Paul Dacre. Mmmm!

Whilst it is generally accepted that the UK Free Press is far from 'free,' whilst it is roundly known, amongst those not half asleep, that TV and Radio Stations do not properly represent anything like a full spectrum of political opinion, somehow there is to be found ever further room for yet more-and-more right-wing diatribe. Andrew Neil's spittle-flecked rage (GB News) will shortly be gracing the airways- holding former Conservative Councillor Timothy Davie's BBC's feet to the fire, as will Murdoch's Fox News (UK), just to balance the scales as 'twere. The (no longer) United Kingdom, on a severely downward trajectory, currently ranks thirty-fifth in the world in terms of politically-balanced news reporting- behind all of those European countries with which we are currently wrangling, just ten places above the US, the nation at which we have all been encouraged to chuckle of late. So, do we imagine that the addition of GB News and Fox will be able to move the UK above thirty-fifth, or perhaps drag it to somewhere below even the States?

So, returning to the championing (former Labour MP?) Lord Mann- Dot number two- appointed by err, oops! Anyway, Lord Mann, in his capacity of curiously promoting anti-Semitism, via his given role of anti-Semitism Tzar, has stated that he wishes to clamp down upon sites such as, obviously, the racist Sun and similar Daily Mail. Only joking! He has instead targeted fastidiously anti-racist sites such as Skwawkbox and the Canary. Lord Mann shouts very loudly when required to, especially when there may be a pre-arranged TV crew on hand, yet he struggles rather with more cerebral matters. So, it is a mighty fine good fortune that freelance journalists such as Denise and Andy are not at hand to question and thus clarify Lord Mann's take upon anti-Semitism. Clearly Lord Mann has (yet again) 'mistaken' 'anti-socialism' for 'anti-Semitism,' thus will, by default, be driving greater anti-Semitic argument. We are correct to doubt that any of the following (retweeters) will be questioning Lord Mann: Laura Kuenssberg, Robert Peston, Andrew Neil, Andrew Marr. Curious, isn't it, how Kuenssberg and Peston are always the first to be leaked the latest government 'initiative' (U-turn), or permitted the first Covid-update 'question.' Ever wondered why they're not particularly probing questions? Who better to sort out and adjudge on issues such as political balance than Paul Dacre (Ofcom)! Ta-dah!

Heads may well be scratched at Lord Mann's specific targeting of two such lesser-known news outlets when there are currently quite so many far more prominent alternatives, that regularly spout racist ideology, from which to choose! One wonders quite what Lord Mann will make of GB News or Fox News? Only joking! Donkeys may nod abstractedly!

The Opposition, of which there is currently none in the Commons, is meanwhile busily redefining racism within its own ranks, such that Lord Mann's route through the Looking Glass is not to be impaired. Of note, there have been numerous readmissions to the Labour Party, of those recently unjustly expelled, just as those such as Rachael Riley (numbers bod and self appointed anti-Semitism stooge) are more frequently now having to retract their censoring tweets, another Dot but, in this instance, something of an aside.

Which brings us 'nicely' up to speed. I shall attempt to round things up here by skipping along the Mediterranean, to Israel- the nation currently leading the globe in Covid vaccinations! Except, of course, what is not properly being reported- likely it is in many of those thirty-four countries ranked above the UK- is the Israeli Government's approach to (not) ensuring that the Palestinians are also being vaccinated. We remember Palestine, don't we, the nation that has been illegally occupied by Israel for over half a century. The cost to the global economy that Vaccine Nationalism may wreak is currently estimated to be £1.2 trillion per annum, something that the Israeli and UK Governments should (but won't) consider.

So Dot three, Israel! And there, right there, goes my Labour Party membership! Oh well! Dot three, part A concerns a recently compiled report by B'Tselem, who has declared Israel to currently be operating as an apartheid regime. B'Tselem, for those wishing to know, is the largest human rights organisation operating within the state of Israel. In their report B'Tselem has stated that Israel does not need to declare itself to be an apartheid state in order to be one. What matters, B'Tselem has made clear, is that Israel's actions define it as a nation, not the (misinformation) statements that it pushes out to the rest of the world. From this onlooker, thank you, B'Tselem! Thank you very much! Encouragement indeed to BDS!

Dot three, part B concerns another very welcome report. This one from the International Criminal Court, which has made clear to Israel, and to the wider world, that the ICC has jurisdiction in Palestine, to rule and to prosecute on war crimes perpetrated in the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. Benjamin Netanyahu has, of course, reacted as one might expect. To draw a neat comparison with the current UK, Israel, under its also-current 'leadership' regards itself as "having taken back control" (ref. Michael Gove). The significance of both parts A and B, notably within the UK's reporting of such, may be reflected in the reaction of the Guardian Newspaper which has elected to report on both issues- might upset a couple of its journo-team. Breath holding with regards to other news outlets in the country could well prove fatal! Merely joining up the dots could be considered an anti-Semitic trope inside the Labour Party, fast becoming a hollowed out shell under the auspices of Sir Keir. Could it also be considered as anti-Semitic to here question Starmer's genuine commitment to (that fleeting 'moment' of) anti-racism? Something positive, amongst all the carnage, and just when we all thought that the Labour Party had half gotten away with throwing Palestine under a proverbial bus!

And don't forget, in the good ol' UK, even when kids continue to go hungry, never should the chance to skim a full £25 quid off the top of an already miserly £30 food parcel, teaspooned into a clear bin bag, be permitted to go begging. Clapping on the streets again, anyone? Perhaps if we clap loudly enough there will be no need for food parcels! #IStandWithKenLoach
